I just tried the new testing version and I have to say, I'm quite impressed. Songs now change almost instantly. But I notice jumps ranging from 1 to 10s around in the song. Sometimes lamip just exits.
This is on amd64. Any way I could give you more information or is this already known ?

i have a segfault somewhere.. i'm looking for where it could be.. that's why i need testing and if possible how to do the bug.
On my computer it's happen when i'm playing a song but it not depend of the song duration.. it's happen just sometimes.. if you found howto reproduce the bug your welcome !

Same problems here (jumps and crashs). Ok with new release (20050515) but less responsive.

20050515 takes around 6 or more seconds to change a song and during this time it freezes.

I notice a long freeze when trying to pause or stop a song, but if the player plays through the end of a song and stops there is no freezing.

well it's something strange that is introduced by the drop function (that normally should drop sound from the soundcard) write and drop can't be call at the same time that's why you got this little freeze. i'm investigate/test this.

Version 20050525 freezes when changing a song, plays a bit of the currently playing song and then switches to the selected song.

grrrr yeah i known.. damn it's the threading system.. not so good as i expect. I should re read all the data flow to see where is this problem.. really strange
