Subject: Can Lamip be used with other front ends?

Hi.
I'm using Lamip on a "compact" Linux distribution - DamnSmallLinux/Luit Linux.
This distribution has gtk+1.2 (gtk+2 was considered too large) and since all the Lamip control interfaces are gtk+2, I can only use the command line.
(And for the sake of space, I'm using Lamip 0.0.1)
Are there any other (ncurses?) frontends which will load and play files in Lamip?

if someone could create one it could be cool :)
well for moment i only use gtk+2, but well i could try to manage to have the defaultUI use gtk+1.. just need time (that for moment i don't really have) :), but if you want to create one, you're welcome to do it and tell here what you've done !

Sorry, I don't have any programming knowledge myself. But there's an existing frontend for mpg123 which I think would make a good foundation - playmp3list - http://rucus.ru.ac.za/~urban/projects/playmp3list/
I will ask the developer if this frontend could be adapted.
But in the meantime I will keep using Lamip from the command line. I still appreciate it. Thanks.
