Subject: shell frontend

Is development on the shell frontend going to continue? If so, is there a specific direction the developers want to take it? I'm interested in taking it over, as its complexity is right on par with my knowledge of C, and I've already played around with mine a fair bit.

i'd really love to see the shell plug become more usable.
