well this project begin at the same time of bmp, when some people shout to xmms team to move to gtk+2. As i would like to see xmms in gtk+2 i look into the source code.. But it's really too hard to switch from gtk+1 -> gtk+2. So i decide to create my hown player with a separation between the 'core' part (that manage plugins) and the 'UI' part (that have interaction with users). So now anyomne could do this hown UI :-) and well it's working great for moment.

It's really annoying to se XMMS in gtk1. (those menues and Preferences window.. really out dated)
I was wondering this myself.. why is XMMS still on gtk1.
